My first day, Nov. 6th, 2008, I arrived in the morning with my car packed with belongings, excited to see what awaited me. The previous owners, showed me around and loaded their vehicles for moving while I took over the office for the day.
It's alot of work to shift over accounts for things such as gas, internet, phone, etc.
It felt really good to sit at the desk and be at my soon-to-be full time office.
At the end of the day, about 8:30, I unloaded my boxes from the car and drove back down to Riverside to pick up some more boxes, and Isis, my cat, along with her necessities. I finally got back after 4 or 5 hours, unloaded the second load, gave Isis a tour of her new home and began organizing the office.
I finally gave into sleep about 5:30 in the morning. A long but successful first day...

The start of a new venture
My name is Tony. I just started my first business. Or should I say took over? I started running the Bluebird Cottage Inn, in Idyllwild, California. The inn has been in business since 1957. And through various owners and a twist of fate, I was given the opportunity to take the business over. In this blog I plan on writing my experiences as my first business in the hospitality industry. I hope people may find interest on a business as well as a personal level.
